Photo etched pins achieve the look of die struck soft enamel, while holding much finer detail. The design is acid-etched into the metal using a photographic process.

Since the pin is still colored using soft enamel pigments, there must be a thin metal wall separating each color from surrounding colors. Use up to seven colors for free! We can match specific colors using the Pantone Matching System (PMS) color chart.

Because the acid does not etch as deep into the metal as a die strike, the base pin can be made from thinner metals. This lighter weight reduces sagging on clothes, and also makes it easier to create blinkie holes and cutout areas.
