Getting ahead of the assumption
Trading pins and Cooperstown are so closely linked that the second is assumed the moment the first comes up. This customer headed it off in one line:
"Not Cooperstown but World Series event- we will split the quantity between our 8U and 10U"
A USSSA International World Series team, out of La Mirada, California.
Why the distinction changes the order
Cooperstown quantities are driven by the format — every player trades with every other team, all week, so the guidance runs to 65–85 pins per player at All Star Village and 100–120 at Dreams Park.
A USSSA World Series works differently. Fewer trading days, fewer teams in one place, and a club that wants its age groups to look like one organisation rather than two. That produces the pattern here: one design, one order, one mould, split across two rosters.
Three hundred pins covering an 8U team and a 10U team is not the same shape as three hundred pins for one Cooperstown roster, even though the number is identical.
The pin
Two and a half inch, die struck, soft enamel, in black, grey and white — the club's own colours, set at the brief stage rather than discovered during proofing.
Published base at 350 pieces was $2.80 a pin. The order settled at 300.

The pace
Two weeks of design work through several proof rounds, then the order placed the day after the price was agreed. When a club already knows its colours and its quantity, most of the elapsed time is artwork — and artwork is the part worth spending time on, because the moulds come after.
Why this one is here
It is the clearest record in the library of a non-Cooperstown pin order. The event drives the quantity, the quantity drives the price break, and assuming every team is going to Cooperstown gets both wrong.

The banner threshold
This order sat under the threshold, so no banner was included. At the time the line fell at 1,000 pins at 2.0 inches or larger: the size step cost $0.20 more per pin — $1.07 to $1.27 — and brought a free 3ft × 6ft banner plus 100 bonus gold-metal or blackout pins with it.
Worth checking before you commit to a quantity: the bigger pin is frequently the cheaper total order.

Every figure here is taken from a real quote for a real order. That is the point of it — and also the reason it will not match what you are quoted.
- Quantity moves the price more than anything else
- Size and build are priced separately
- Turnaround changes the total

Questions this order answers
USSSA events are a regular trading destination for the teams we work with, and the International World Series in particular.
Some clubs deliberately leave the event, year and age group off the pin so one design works across every team in the program. One California club asked for exactly that: a generic club pin rather than a dated one.

No. Every figure in this library is what one team was quoted for one order, on the day they asked. It is published as a record, not as a price list.
Quantity and size move it most: the break runs about $0.20 per pin for every hundred pins, and the range here goes from a 1,500-pin corporate run at 1.25 inch to a 3 inch dangler with glitter. Pin type and finish are priced per pin on top of that — a spinner was $0.65 more per pin on one order, glitter is $0.10 per pin per glitter colour.
Timing is separate again. Six weeks ahead of your date carries no delivery or rush charge; four weeks adds a $40 delivery charge; three weeks adds $40 plus a $75 rush fee. The pins are manufactured in China and are subject to US import tariffs, disclosed on the quote rather than at invoice.
