How they found us
"KEENE Cobras youth hockey gave me your contact info"
The Keene Youth Hockey Club is already in this library — a thousand one-inch pins at seventy-nine cents, bought by their board for the whole organisation.
They passed the contact to the figure skating club in the same town.
That is worth recording because it is how most of this business actually arrives, and it is invisible in any analytics package. No ad, no search, no form fill from a campaign — one club volunteer telling another club volunteer who made their pins.
The board decided
"The Keene Figure Skating Board met tonight. We would like the larger pin V1B with Glitter (of course) and we would like to order 150 of them."
Two options were proofed: 1.25 inch without glitter, and 1.5 inch with. The board met, and took the better pin.
That parenthesis — (of course) — is the whole decision in two words.
There is a pattern here worth noticing, and the Keene hockey order shows the same thing: when a board decides, it tends to choose the upgrade. An individual organiser is spending money they will have to justify to each family one at a time. A board has already agreed a budget, is deciding once for everyone, and is thinking about what the club's pin should look like rather than what it costs per head.
A heavier pin
The specification has one unusual number: 3.0mm thick, against the 1.5mm used on almost every other pin in this library.
Double thickness. It costs a little more metal and it is immediately obvious in the hand — a pin that feels substantial rather than light. Combined with the back die stamping, this is a pin built to be kept rather than traded away.

Glitter is a finish, so it applies to any pin type — standard, spinner or slider alike. It is mixed into the enamel of a chosen colour rather than applied on top, so it will not rub off.
It is specified per colour: one glitter colour, or several. Commonly it lands on a single accent area — the shape of a state, a star, a puck. A 1,500-pin association order ran one glitter colour across the whole run; another design used gold glitter only on the state-shaped element.

Quantity and size move it most: the break runs about $0.20 per pin for every hundred pins, and the range here goes from a 1,500-pin corporate run at 1.25 inch to a 3 inch dangler with glitter. Pin type and finish are priced per pin on top of that — a spinner was $0.65 more per pin on one order, glitter is $0.10 per pin per glitter colour.
Timing is separate again. Six weeks ahead of your date carries no delivery or rush charge; four weeks adds a $40 delivery charge; three weeks adds $40 plus a $75 rush fee. The pins are manufactured in China and are subject to US import tariffs, disclosed on the quote rather than at invoice.
