Each type of pin uses different finishing processes and may have a limit on the number of colors which can be used with your design. When you have a pin design which will be color intensive, then you will want to consider using offset printed, as this method is able to support a wide variety of colors.  These pins are created on a flat metal surface and can be used as a method to reproduce photographs and images onto a lapel pin.
